Gabions

Gabions are affordably-priced wire structures similar to large baskets which can be filled with materials such as stone, concrete, sand or soil, and offer the most cost-effective and quick to install solution for retaining wall systems. 

Gabion baskets can be used in a huge range of applications including landscaping to stabilise earth movement, bases for outdoor seating, gravity retaining walls, fencing applications and much more.

They can act as noise barriers and can also be used for decorative purposes such as stepped areas and garden features like plant pots, all while achieving a robust yet natural look.

They also provide automatic and easy drainage, making them a suitable environment for the growth of plant roots. And, thanks to their high resistance to atmospheric corrosion, gabion baskets are also ideal as sea wall, riverbank and canal defences.

Our welded mesh gabion baskets are available as flat packs and are made of 3mm galvanised steel wire to keep their shape. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, they’re strong, durable, and environmentally-friendly, made of recycled materials.

They come in a variety of sizes from 0.5m square through to 2m tall by 1m square, all with 3mm diameter wire mesh.
